I want to build a theme park

“Mr. Theme Park, I have an idea to build my own theme park but don’t know where to begin.  What do you recommend I do?”  Amber K. - Ohio

Amber K. – Ohio.  First of all, thank you for your question, and secondly, you have come to the right place!  My company, ITPS, has assisted hundreds of projects and can provide guidance and consultation throughout the entire process of opening a theme park.  First and foremost, the most important aspect in the planning and development of any theme park or leisure project is the “First Step” - the Feasibility Analysis.

I’ve written numerous articles regarding developing theme parks, but I think this one will help you in the process - “I Have an Idea, but is it Feasible,”  which can be found on my company’s website under the articles section.  Suffice it to say that the Feasibility provides the roadmap for the entire project.  You wouldn’t try to drive from Ohio to Disney World without knowing what direction to take or else you might get lost, take more time than needed, and spend a lot more money than needed getting to your destination.  In fact, you may never finish the journey and never arrive.  The same holds true for developing a theme park.  Too many projects sit on the shelf for similar reasons.  I cannot stress enough the importance of the Feasibility Analysis.  It’s the most important first step investment you can make.

For further information on Feasibility Analysis or the “12 Steps of Leisure Development,” please visit www.interthemepark.com.  ITPS has performed hundreds of studies and can provide additional information.  Thanks again for your question Amber K. of Ohio and best of luck to getting your theme park open!
